Smartphones have already changed the way we live and AI might be the next step as Samsung focuses on its next smartphone release. All eyes are on AI, and some of its benefits have not come to mobile just yet until the next generation Galaxy devices.
Samsung says that it can harness AI’s potential as it puts “the power of openness in the palm of your hand.” It could allow for barrier-free communication, simplified productivity, and even unconstrained creativity.
Galaxy AI will be powered by on-device AI from Samsung and cloud-based AI from their collaborators. A small teaser from their ecosystem includes AI Live Translate Call that will turn your smartphone as a personal translator whenever needed as it is integrated to its native call feature. Audio and text translations will appear in real-time as you speak, making talking to another person with a different language as simple as turning on subtitles when streaming on a show.
“Mobile technology has an incredible power to enable connection, productivity, creativity and more for people around the world, but until now, we haven’t seen mobile AI ignite that in truly meaningful ways,” said Wonjoon Choi, EVP and Head of R&D, Mobile eXperience Business. “Galaxy AI is our most comprehensive intelligence offering to date, and it will change how we think about our phones forever.”
