Scorn Act 1-2 Walkthrough & Puzzle Guide

-

In Scorn, players get to encounter a couple of puzzles during Act 1-2 of the game. As the game is pretty vague and obscure about details, players are left in despair to solve these puzzles. But fret not! It’s not over yet. Get to solve the puzzles in Act 1-2 of Scorn using this walkthrough, and also get to know how to clear Act 1 of the game.

Note that the game has multiple paths that lead to the same outcome/result. This guide may only be one of the methods used to achieve the same goal.

Scorn Act 1-2 Walkthrough

  1. Exit the elevator and use either the right or left corridors to reach the base of the power plant.
  2. Interact with the terminal to attach the power cell using the drone.
  3. After mounting the cell, interact with the new terminal that popped from the base of the power plant.
  4. Head back and go to the center opening opposite of the elevator.
  5. Stand on the inclined platform to activate a contraption from the ground.
  6. Take the pneumatic gun (or whatever it is) from the rack.
  7. Proceed to either the right or left corridor and use the pneumatic gun to activate the terminals.
  8. Eliminate enemies blocking your path. Note that you do not need to kill all of them to proceed.
  9. Reach the middle part and interact with the dead power plant using the terminal in the middle.
  10. Use the terminal to control the drone and pick up and attach the new cell. Again, don’t forget to interact with the terminal that pops out of the base after you attach the cell.
  11. Move back to the corridor that you missed. Interact with the remaining terminal to get another cell.
  12. Fight your way through to the power plant / drone puzzle.
  13. Attach the last cell to end Act 1-2 of Scorn.

Scorn Act 1-1 Puzzle

Power Plant / Drone Puzzle

Pick up the cell

Scorn’s Act 1-2 is pretty short as it requires you to activate a power plant thingy using a drone and three power cells. One of the required cells is already available near the power plant. For the remaining two, you need to have the pneumatic gun to interact with their terminals and fight the drones blocking your path.

Getting The Pneumatic Gun

Gun rack pneumatic gun

To get your first weapon in Scorn, you only need to head towards the other side of the elevator chamber. Stand on the glowing platform to raise a weapon rack from the ground. Interact with the rack to get the Pneumatic Gun.

Use The Gun To Get The Cells

Scorn Pneumatic Gun Terminal

Once you have the Pneumatic Gun, you can finally get the two cells required to turn on the power plant. With the gun equipped, interact with the terminal located at the end of each hallway to get a cell. Proceed towards the base of the power plant to interact with the drone and mount the cell.

No Need To Kill All Enemies

Interacting with the cell terminals spawns a couple of flying drones. These drones deal damage by blocking your path towards the power plant. You can eliminate the ones that block your path but it is not necessary to get rid of all of them. Be extra careful about them as they also move around so be fast when trying to destroy one of these drones.

Attach The Cells Using The Drone

Now comes the easy part. After collecting the cells, you can use the drone near the power plant to mount the power cells. Once you mount the third, enjoy the cutscene and wait for it to finish to proceed to Act 2-1 of Scorn.

Scorn is available on both PC and Xbox Series X|S. Get to see the Steam product page here.
