After the easy walk in Act 2-1, you now get another large puzzle to solve in Scorn Act 2-2. Again, prepare to walk around and use your brain a lot in this level. Get to solve the puzzles in Act 2-2 of Scorn using this walkthrough, and also get to know how to clear Act 2 of the game.
Note that the game has multiple paths that lead to the same outcome/result. This guide may only be one of the methods used to achieve the same goal.
Scorn Act 2-2 Walkthrough
- Exit the corridor and head into the chamber. Do not worry about the strange creature as it won’t attack you. For now.
- Follow the left path and ignore the first fork. You don’t have the tools to solve the puzzle yet so move until you reach the end.
- Interact with the corpse directly in front of the locked door to get the key.
- After getting the key, use the device beside the corpse. This puzzle is easy as you only have to align the pointer to the groove. Do this three times and the puzzle’s done. Get ready to have encounter more of these later.
- Remember the red room that we ignored from before? Head back there and use the key to activate and move the walls.
- Ignore the lowering pod and its terminal. You won’t be able to solve this for now as you need to have the four of them down at the same time. For now, turn left and use the elevator.
- Exit the elevator and follow the corridor to your right. After entering another chamber, use the covered walkway to your right until you reach the end.
- Interact with the switch and choose the middle path. Continue forward. You’ll know you are in the right path once you see the strange creature watching over you.
- Drop down into the chamber and turn left. Unplug the three organic wires to stop the fan.
- After the cutscene, head back using the path you came in and pass the deactivated fans to your right. Proceed using the left path.
- Upon exiting the pathway, you’ll find a room with two levels, go to the upper level and activate the second key puzzle. This is more difficult as the notches are now moving.
- Head to the right of the puzzle and use the elevator.
- Go down and interact with the terminal to your right to reattach the device that allows you to interact with the organic terminals in Scorn.
- Open the locked door and head back to the red pod room. Climb back up using the elevator and walk until you reach the fork again. Choose the left-most option.
- Turn left and remove the corpse from the controls. Select the second pathway from the right to blast it with acid to clear it.
- Turn around and solve the third key puzzle. This one is faster than the second one, but the premise remains the same.
- Head back using the path you came in. Remember the path that you melted with acid? Choose the center pathway for that.
- Go up and get the fourth and final upgrade for the key puzzle. This can be quite hard as half of the puzzle is covered. You can determine where the notches would land as they are fixed.
- Head back to the red pod room. Choose the left-most pathway and use the elevator to go down.
- Interact with the gears to activate the key puzzle.
- Align the four points of the key to the container to solve the puzzle.
- Interact with the new terminal in front of the pod to finally get the “key card” that opens doors and also the organ that restores health.
- Use the key to enter the locked door in front of the corpse where you found the Key Puzzle.
- Follow the path until you reach another locked door. Open the door and ride the elevator down.
- Move forward until you reach another locked door. This place may be familiar to you. Anyhow, continue and trudge on.
- Now you’re back to where we started the game. Open the door and ride another elevator down to finally reach Act 3 of Scorn.
Scorn Act 2-2 Puzzle
Solving The Scorn Key Puzzle
Probably what takes the time in Act 2-2 is the Key Puzzle. In order for you to solve it, you must first have four parts of the key. Once you have the four parts, you can finally proceed to solve the puzzle in the red pod room. Solving the puzzle rewards you with a path forward, a way to regenerate health, and also the return of the Pneumatic Gun.
Key Puzzle Pieces – Locations & Where To Find Them
To activate the gear contraption, you must first have the four parts of the key. The parts can be found scattered around the area of Act 2-2.
- 1st Part – Directly beside the corpse carrying the key
- 2nd Part – Middle path of the fork after exiting via the fans
- 3rd Part – Left-most path of the fork. Can be found directly opposite of the acid control terminal
- 4th Part – Acid path activated while looking for Path 3. Simply follow the path up to get to the final piece.
How To Solve Key Puzzle
Align The Pointer To The Notches
To get the parts required to activate the Gear Key Puzzle, you must first get four parts of the key. Solving these puzzles is simple as you only have to align the pointer to the notch. The pointer can be turned to either left or right and only lands on fixed locations.
In latter puzzles, the notches move in varying speeds. You can watch the movement of the notches and where they land first, then have your pointer wait at that exact point. The notches’ movements are not random so expect them to land at the same point. Also note that the notches and the pointers locations may not align. If this happens, observe the places where the notches stop and try to have your pointer stop on these possible locations. Be patient and fast when the notch and the pointer finally align.

After getting the four parts, the final puzzle is to interact with the gear key located in the red pod room. The objective here is simple: align the four lights of the key to the four red lights of the container. Upon solving this puzzle, you’re finally free to roam till you reach Act 3.
