Sega is looking to revive a bit of their console glory on Sonic the Hedgehog’s 25th birthday. The gaming giant has confirmed that it is reviving the Sonic as a brand with a two-player home console and a portable gaming system.
The two-player home console comes with two wireless controllers, and will be able to support original Mega Drive cartridges, while the portable gaming system will have a 3.2 inch display and a rechargeable battery with a USB charger.
Both system will have 80 built-in games which includes Sonic the Hedgehog, Mortal Kombat, Golden Axe and Comix Zone. Additional games can also be loaded with the use of SD cards for the portable variant.
Both system is set to be ready to ship by October, you may want to pre-order now if you are a fan of the Mega Drive of just looking at the nostalgia it might bring.
