ShopBack teases what awaits its users this 2023

-

ShopBack, one of Southeast Asia’s leading online cashback platform, shared their insight to what’s in store this 2023 after a successful 2022 fiscal year. Their new projects will include the launch of the ShopBack Travel Club coming this May as well as the ShopBack Travel and Lifestyle Fair happening on June 21 to June 28 to celebrate its 8th birthday.

They are also expanding in-app features for users looking for smart and rewarding ways to book getaways. According to ShopBack Commercial Director Timothy Tuason, travel is one of the top categories where users look to get the best deals. With its upcoming venture, ShopeBack is confident to frow in the coming years.

Last year, ShopBack gained PhP 1 billion in gross merchandise value per month and users across the platform PhP 10 million monthly in cashback. They have partnered with more than 600 merchants across the country to ensure that it is equipped to cater to the 5.5 million users in the Philippines.

“We look at the data and we also see what is the basket size per user. By observing this, we can then now retarget specific deals, and specific campaigns, because there are certain brands that may not relate the same things to a different type of basket size. So, we make sure we retarget specific campaigns to people we know that have this amount of spending power,” said Tuason.

“Understanding these types of behaviors and making sure we shoot out is what really matters to us. It’s all about providing the opportunity to the users to be able to make their shopping experience better,” he added.
