Smart subscribers who attended the Stray Kids concert at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan last November 23, 2024 were able to take advantage of the telco’s fast 5G speeds.
Based on an Ookla Speedtest result taken during the concert, Smart 5G was able to reach 257Mbps and 54.7Mbps download and upload speeds, respectively. This enables its subscribers to stay connected online and access apps despite the density of the crowd.
Globe reached speeds of just above 20Mbps for download and upload speeds, while DITO’s test were unable to complete.
Smart has teamed up with Huawei and Ericsson last year to expand and optimize its LTE and 5G mobile network coverage in the country’s major event venues such as the Philippine Arena, Smart-Arena Coliseum, and SM Mall of Asia to provide its customers a world-class mobile experience.
