Could Smart be launching its own branded 5G smartphone in the Philippines? According to listings found on the Facebook Market place, it seems that the telco may just be introducing a budget-oriented 5G smartphone.
Smart’s 5G smartphone is a rebranded ZTE Blade A75 5G. Based on their official website, the smartphone comes with a 6.6-inch 120Hz screen. There’s a Live Island Interactive feature, which is essentially the Capsule function on other smartphones that displays notifications, activities, and reminders.
It will be powered by a 6nm 5G processor, which some say is the Unisoc T760 chip. It will be complemented by 4GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. It’ll also come with a 5,000mAh battery charged through a USB-C connection.
A 50MP main camera is found at the rear plus a 2MP depth sensor. Meanwhile, at the front is an 8MP selfie camera. The smartphone also integrates a fingerprint scanner on its power button and it will come in Mint Green and Diamond Black colorways.
Based on the listings, Smart’s ZTE Blade A75 5G is priced at PhP 5,450. It will come with a SIM and data bundled for free from Smart.
As of this time, Smart’s 5G smartphone is only listed on the Facebook Market place. It’s a bit suspect since there’s no mention of it on Smart’s official website.
