Smart is heavily discounting older flagships on their Lazada store. After the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 received a nearly 60% reduction in price, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is also getting the same treatment as it gets discounted by 33% off.
The 512GB model of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is on sale on Smart’s official Lazada store for only PhP 47,549 from its original asking price of PhP 71,900. According to the description, it will come bundled with a Smart Prepad eSIM, Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, and a Galaxy Watch6 44mm – a pretty heavy bundle for the price.
Though more than a year old now, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is still a flagship flip phone packing a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chip with 8GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. Its main display is a 6.7-inch FullHD+ 120Hz screen while on its cover is a 3.4-inch 720 x 748 60Hz display.
It comes with a 12MP f/1.8 main camera complemented by a 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide and a 10MP f/2.2 front-facing camera. The small chassis hides a 3,700mAh battery with 25W Fast Charging, Fast Wireless Charging 2.0, and Wireless PowerShare.
Samsung promises that the Z Flip5 will receive 4 years of major OS upgrades and 5 years of software updates. This means that the smartphone will still last fairly long even if you get it late in its cycle.
