Smart has rolled their new UHD data plans that promises up to 200Mbps download speeds. These plans are exclusive through the Smart app and can reach up to PhP 2,000 per month if you opt in for the fastest plan.
Smart’s Upfront UHD Plans are split into three tiers: 30GB for PhP 999, 60GB for PhP 1,499, and 90GB for PhP 1,999. All three come with unlimited text and calls and will last for 30 days. There will be data rollover so any unused data will be credited to the next month. They are also offering auto-renew on these plans if you are using Gigapay.
There are conditions, however, as you need to be in a 5G covered area. Of course, you’ll also need a 5G-compatible smartphone plus a 5G SIM if you have an older SIM on your smartphone. If you do run out of 5G data while you’re still subscribed, you can still access the Internet with non-stop data but presumably with decreased speeds.
