Sony has officially brought in the Alpha 1 Mark II and the 28-70 F2 G Master lens (SEL28700GM) in the Philippines. Both were launched at an event held at the Batangas Racing Circuit where guests were able to test out their capabilities.
The brand brought on Sherard Yu and Benjo Cabarro to demonstrate the capabilities of the two. Sony Alpha Professional Sherard Yu showcased a video demonstration where the Alpha 1 Mark II highlights its AI-driven real-time tracking and high-resolution 8K videos. He was able to capture footage of race cards performing precision drifting and donut tricks with cinematic quality.
Renowned sports and motorsports photographer Benjo Cabarro took center stage to show off the Alpha 1 Mark II and SEL2870GHM lens in high-speed action photography. Thanks to the camera’s 50.1MP sensor and lightning-fast focus along with the lens’ sharpness and bokeh, he is able to freeze motion and create depth in action-packed shots.
The Sony Alpha 1 Mark II builds on the legacy of its predecessor to cater to both photographers and videographers. Its 50.1MP full-frame sensor features up to 120 AF/AE calculations per second to ensure precision and speed. Its AI allows for real-time recognition and tracking for both stills and video, and it will support 8K30p or 4K120p recording with 15+ stops of dynamic range.
The FE 28-70 F2 G Master Lens complements the Alpha 1 Mark II with a constant f/2.0 aperture and advanced focus mechanisms for both stills and videos. It promises the traditional G Master Quality with edge-to-edge sharpness and minimal distortion.
The Sony Alpha 1 Mark Ii is now available in the Philippines for PhP 385,999. On the other hand, the Sony SEL2870GM is priced at PhP 177,990. Both are now available through Sony authorized retailers nationwide.
