A new TWS is in town – the Sony WF-C700N. The earbuds have been designed with comfort and stability all while promising to deliver immersive audio quality and noise-cancelling features.
The Sony WF-C700N was designed using extensive ear shape data collated since the company introduced its first in-ear headphones in 1982 and the evaluation of the sensitivity of various types of ears. It combines a shape to match the ear with an ergonomic design for a more stable fit no matter the size of your ears.
It is powered by Sony’s own 5mm driver to provide bass and clear vocals despite its size. Performance is further bolstered with its Digital Sound Enhancement Engine. You can change its sound signature to fit your taste with the EQ settings on the Sony Headphones connect app.
Additionally, the company is equipping the WF-C700N with noise cancelling in addition to the isolation already provided by its tips. But if you want to be more aware of your surroundings, you can use its Ambient Sound Mode that captures more of the ambient sounds around you.
Ambient Sound Mode can be adjusted via the Sony Headphones connect app. You can also set customized profiles or use the Focus on Voice setting to chat with other people without taking them off.
Sony is also outfitting it with Adaptive Sound Control, which adjusts ambient sound settings depending on the setting. It can recognize locations that you frequently visit like your workplace, gym, or café and switch sound modes that suit the situation.
The company says that it can last up to 7.5 hours on a single charge while its cylindrical charging case can add up to 7.5 hours more when using Noise Cancelling. It also has IPX4 water resistance, Wind Noise Reduction on calls, and Multipoint connection that lets you pair with two Bluetooth devices at the same time.
The Sony WF-C700N is priced at PhP 6,999 in the Philippines. You can get it starting April 21, 2023 at Sony authorized retailers nationwide. Three colorways are available: Black, White, Lavender, and Sage Green.
Sony has also launched a Midnight Blue variant of the WH-1000XM5 wireless headphones. It will start rolling out to stores starting May 12, 2023 for PhP 20,999.
