Sony is swinging back hard in the Android market with the new Sony Xperia Pro-I. Their new flagship focuses photography and videography with its BIONZ X imaging processor, 1.0-type Exmor RS image sensor, and Zeiss T* lenses.
Its Exmor RS image sensor allows for 12-bit RAW and dual aperture f/2.0 and f/4.0 aperture for its main 12MP camera. The new sensor also promises better photography and videography quality from the smartphone, which was a main highlight of their range of Alpha cameras.
A lot of camera-centric features have found their way on the Sony Xperia Pro-I. This includes 315 phase-detection AF points, real-time tracking and Eye Autofocus, 20fps burst, and an anti-distortion shutter. Its cameras can also record 4K at 120fps with up to 5x slow motion
Those who see its potential as a vlogging smartphone will be pleased to know that Sony is launching a Vlog monitor: a 3.5-inch 1280 x 720 screen that can be magnetically attached to the smartphone.
