The Bolt Pistol is available to all classes by default in all game modes. There is no need to unlock anything to use this secondary weapon.
The Bolt Pistol is the default secondary weapon in all of the game modes in Space Marine 2. For multiplayer, all classes start with this weapon. While not impressive, it still packs quite a punch if used correctly. You can use it to land quick headshots if you’re a melee-based class or as backup firepower if your class is reliant on ranged primary weapons.
It is highly recommended that you upgrade this weapon in the Operations game mode. As all classes can use this weapon and weapon levels are accessible to all classes that can the weapon, an upgraded Bolt Pistol is usable by classes. If you wish to speed up leveling of an underleveled class, make sure to equip an upgraded Bolt Pistol. Note that you also get to unlock cool skins as you do this.
In co-op, you can upgrade the Bolt Pistol to improve its stats. Take note that upgrading weapons require you to spend Mastery Points and unlock tiers via Armoury Data.
