The Bolt Rifle is available from the get-go. In the campaign, Titus picks up this weapon in the prologue. From then on, you can start with this weapon. Similarly, the Tactical Class starts with this weapon in both co-op and PvP.
There’s no beating a general purpose gun. The Bolt Rifle stands as one of the hallmark weapons of the universe of Warhammer 40,000. It is reliable, deals damage pretty well, and has a good range. In terms of usage, there’s not much to be said here. The Bolt Rifle is good all-around and you really can’t go wrong with it in any situation. However, you might find yourself in a pinch when fighting one on one against a foe with a specialized weapon.
In co-op, you can upgrade the Bolt Rifle to improve its stats. Take note that upgrading weapons require you to spend Mastery Points and unlock tiers via Armoury Data.
