Suzuki outs new Vitara, focuses on safer driving and fuel efficiency

Designed to match the growing automotive market in the country, Suzuki’s new iteration of the Vitara captures the essence of the Suzuki SUV legacy all the while implementing modern design trends to target the millennial market.

Designed for the younger generation, the new Vitara uses the Suzuki SUV clamshell bonnet. All the while giving off a youthful and rugged look with the press lines and smooth roofline. Of course, these were all designed with aerodynamic performance in mind. The Vitara has a total width of 69.88 inches, a height of 63.39 inches, and length of 164.37 inches with a minimum ground clearance of 7.28 inches.

The GLX model comes with vertically placed LEDs as standard. These LED headlamps are energy saving with a blue projector cover for the GLX model. Meanwhile, the GL and GL+ models come with Projector halogen headlamps for better light distribution for the low beam.

As for the wheels, the GLX variant comes with 17-inches wheels, 16-inches for the GL+, and 16-inches steel wheel with full caps for the GL variants. Suzuki has included Bluetooth audio and a USB port inside. The GLX model enables WiFi with MirrorLink to pair with an Android-based smartphone. Luggage space, on the other hand, can accommodate up to 375 liters, but when the rear seats are folded, the Vitara can make way up to 710 liters.

The new Suzuki Vitara is priced at PhP 1,048,000 for the GLX variant and PhP 938,000 for the GL+ version. The price of the GL model, however, hasn’t been made public yet.
