The new Warhammer 40,000 Christmas Battleforce boxes have finally been revealed. Included in this great discount box sets are again the Tau. Although lacking in numbers, this battleforce box literally brings in the big guns led by Commander Farsight herself. But then again, is it actually worth it? Let’s find out and break down the box contents of the Farsight Cadre box set of the Tau Empire.
The Tau Empire Farsight Cadre battleforce box contains a total of 14 miniatures:
Commander Farsight enters the fray with this battleforce box filled with beefy mechs. Again, partner this with a Combat Patrol to get squads of infantry and a Devilfish to perfectly make a functioning Tau army.
The Tau 2025 Christmas Battleforce costs around $240.00 or £150.00 if we base it on previous releases. Due to rising costs in the past, Games Workshop has been regularly increasing the prices on their kits. While more expensive compared to the past years, there is still no denying that the Battleforce box sets are a great way to get a lot of models for less.

As it does lack infantry, the Battleforce box is meant for players that already have a good number of them. What is included in the package are the more expensive mech suits that can round off a lacking Tau army. In terms of pricing, the Tau battleforce has the second lowest discount among the Christmas boxes this year.
Using the prices above and knowing the likely price of the battleforce box, we can calculate the savings. Buying the battleforce grants you a good 30.43% discount if in USD or 28.91% if in GBP. In the past few years, Battleforce boxes were released on December. We can say the same this time. This may vary though depending on your region. If you’re in the UK, expect an earlier or on time release date. For US, it depends on your nearest hobby store and you country’s Gamesworkshop distribution. Here in the Philippines, the release has been quite on time recently with the boxes ready for release on December or early January.
