The updated Tesla Model Y has officially made its debut in the Philippines. This updated variant has a new look with redesigned aesthetics and electronic capabilities.
The new Tesla Model Y will now come with lightbars for its headlight and taillight. Its wheels are now quieter and smoother while its acoustic glass have been improved to make the driving experience much more silent on the EV.
Its electronics have also received an upgrade. Its front camera now offers you an expanded view on the center screen plus it comes with integrated fluid washer and heating.
The 15.4-inch touch screen is joined by an 8-inch touchscreen for the rear passengers that takes advantage of its theater and gaming modes. Of course, it will come with ambient lighting.
Tesla’s New Model Y starts at PhP 2,369,000 in the Philippines. Two models are being offered: a rear-wheel drive with a top speed of 201km/h and a range of 466km for PhP 2,369,000 and a Long-Range All-Wheel Drive that has the same top speed but faster acceleration and increased range of 551km.
You can customize the New Model Y is several ways. You’ll be able to choose from five colorways, 19- or 20-inch wheels, and Black and White Interior. Its base package will come with Basic Autopilot while Enhanced Autopilot and Full Self-Driving Capability will have a premium of PhP 197,000 and PhP 394,000, respectively.
Tesla has also setup several charging points in the metro located at the Tesla Center at Uptown Parade, BGC and Uptown Mall, BGC. The latest addition is the supercharging station at Edsa Shangri-La with 4 superchargers. Charging costs PhP 19 per kW or around Php 1,140 to fully charge a Model 3.
