Resolution, color reproduction, and monitor space are just some of the requirements for professionals when it comes to monitors. With the recent upshot of ultra-wide monitors in the market as well as their wider DFHD cousins, video editors and photographers have their work cut out for them if they have a decent enough monitors.
Showcased in a recent event in Malaysia, the ASUS ProArt PA34VC mixes both work and play with a 21:9 aspect ratio. As part of the brand’s ProArt series of monitors, the PA34VC comes with a 34-inch IPS panel with a 1900R curvature. It also comes with a 3440 x 1440 resolution that will surely fill any resolution requirements that one might have with a monitor.
To achieve color accuracy in games, photos, or videos, the ASUS ProArt PA34VC comes out of the box pre-calibrated with a delta E color difference of less than 2. Users that have a certain color preference can also further calibrate the monitor via the ProArt Calibration technology to save different color profiles directly to the monitor. The ASUS ProArt PA34VCis also capable of displaying the whole sRGB gamut. And with its IPS screen, the monitor can retain their richness across wide viewing angles.
Aside from its work aspect, the PA34VC can reach refresh rates of up to 100Hz to deliver a smooth experience while playing games. The display also has Adaptive Sync that should eliminate screen-tearing while in-game.
As far as ports go, the ASUS ProArt PA34VC comes with two Thunderbolt 3 ports, two HDMI 2.0 ports, and a single DisplayPort 1.2 port. It also supports Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture modes.
There’s no official word yet as to when the ASUS ProArt PA34VC will be available in the market.
