The Legion 9i is an AI-powered, MiniLED, Liquid-Cooled beast

The Legion 9i has made its debut alongside the announcement of the Legion Go. It is currently acting as the flagship of the Legion range packing high-end specifications including an Intel Core i9-13980HX, up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090, up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM, AI-powered performance tuning, and even liquid cooling.

Based on specifications alone, the Legion 9i is running some power-hungry components. Its liquid cooling system was developed with a partnership between Lenovo and Cooler Master. 6,333 intake vents help three fans to cool the laptop. Its Coldfront system takes over when internal temperature hits 84°c to assist in further cooling down the device and stave off thermal throttling.

Its display is a 16-inch 3200 x 2000 MiniLED screen running at 165Hz. Lenovo says that it can produce 1,200 nits of brightness and covers 100% AdobeRGB making it suitable for both gaming and content creation.

Lenovo adds its LA2 AI chip that automatically tracks FPS and adjusts power to the CPU and GPU. Of course, there’s also RGB lighting found on the keyboard, at the back, and on the Legion logo at the back. The lid is made out of Carbon to make it lighter for portability. Every notebook will have a uniqe forged carbon chip on its cover.
