ASUS is launching the ROG Falchion Ace HFX – a keyboard with hall-effect switches dubbed ROG HFX Magnetic switches. As part of the ROG lineup, it comes with several high-end features like fast polling rate, a compact form, and RGB lighting.
The ROG Falchion Ace HFX sport the ROG HFX Magnetic switches with a POM plastic stem and PC material for the top housing. The switches are pre-lubed out-of-the-box, and given its hall-effect nature, they promise a smooth typing and gaming experience.
Its actuation point can be customized between 0.1mm to 4.0mm through the Armoury Crate app to suite your needs. This can also be adjusted via its rear-mounted multifunction button and touch panel.
Aside from these swtiches, ASUS is equipping the Falchion Ace HFX with two Poron and three silicone dampening layers to reduce noise for a cushioned typing experience. There are two USB-C ports at the back so you can switch between to PCs via a switch.
They are also including Rapid Trigger and Speed Tap modes on the keyboard. They claim that former allows the switch to reset instantly when moving upward while the latter prioritizes the last input from the keyboard in case you press two keys together.
To maximize responsiveness, it supports 8000Hz polling rate on its microcontroller which they claim reduces input lag to 0.125ms.
The ASUS ROG Falchion Ace HFX will arrive in the Philippines this October 2024. Official pricing is yet to be announced. More details soon.
For reference, the global pricing for the keyboard is set at USD 199 or around PhP 11,000 when directly converted.
