During Xbox @ gamescom Broadcast: Live From the Showfloor, Ubisoft & partnering studio Evil Empire announced that The Rogue Prince of Persia™, the 2D action-platforming rogue-lite game, is now available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Cloud and Xbox on PC for Game Pass subscribers. The game is also available on PlayStation®5, as well as Windows PC through Steam, Ubisoft Connect and the Epic Games Store. Players can also subscribe to Ubisoft+ on PC. The Switch™ and Switch™ 2 versions of the game will be coming later this year.
After more than a year of early access, over 15 major updates integrating community feedback, an entirely reworked art direction and changed color palette, a variety of new biomes, weapons and trinkets as well as an enriched metaprogression, the game has reached its final form for all players to enjoy. Set in a beautifully reimagined Persian kingdom, The Rogue Prince of Persia blends fluid, acrobatic combat with challenging parkour and a rich narrative of redemption.
Players must navigate procedurally generated levels, uncover secrets, and meet new characters as they attempt to right a fatal mistake that doomed their people. Each run offers new opportunities to adapt and evolve, forging a unique playstyle through exploration and discovery. With over 100 weapons and medallions to unlock and master, players can customize their build according to their playstyle and needs. Agility is key: wall-running, dodging traps, and chaining stylish combos are essential to survival. To get to the true outcome of this epic story, players will have to rewrite fate, save Persia, or die trying.

Players will fight their way through an ever-changing world, pulsing to the rhythm of an intense, immersive soundtrack. Signed by ASADI, Persian-American Electronic Music Producer and Performance Artist, the Complete OST will be available on all streaming platforms and on Ubisoft Music’s YouTube channel on August 22nd [LINK]. The Complete Edition gathers 13 new tracks, on top of the Part 1 released in 2024. Fans of ASADI’s fusion between modern and traditional Persian sonorities will also be able to pre-order the OST’s vinyl version at a later date on partner store (Laced Records).
