vivo Philippines has started teasing the arrival of their latest foldable, the vivo X Fold5. Launched globally last month alongside the X200 FE, the X Fold5 could the first foldable from vivo to come to the country.

vivo has posted several teasers about the X Fold5 on their official Facebook page, and they have also listed the device on their official local website. These basically confirm that the foldable will be arriving in the country soon. Official pricing and availability, however, are yet to be announced.

At only 4.3mm, the vivo X Fold5 is the thinnest foldable yet from the brand. It’s also light at only 217g while its 2nd Generation Armor Architecture with Carbon Fiber Support Hinge makes it more durable than before. The chassis is also weather resistant sporting IPX8, IPX9, and IPX9+ water resistance.

Inside its thin chassis is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip with up to 12GB RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. It is powered by a 6,000mAh battery with 80W FlashCharge and 40W Wireless Charging, and runs on Android 15 with FunTouch 15 with support for up to 4 major Android upgrades.

Its main display measures in at 8.03 inches with a 2480 x 2200 resolution running at 120Hz while its cover display is a 6.53-inch 2748 x 1172 120Hz screen. Both will come with 20MP f/2.4 front-facing cameras.

At the back are three 50MP shooters: a 50MP f/1.6 PDAF OIS main camera; a 50MP f/2.6 periscope telephoto with PDAF, OIS, and 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP f/2.1 ultrawide. Their partnership with ZEISS continues to improve photo quality and exclusive filters.

More details about the vivo X Fold5 will be available soon. For reference, the vivo X Fold5 launched in China at a price point of CNY 6,999 or around PhP 56,000 when directly converted.
