Digital Walker sent us these three SoundPEATS TWS audio devices, each one delivers a different purpose and ultimately they only start for Php1,690. Now, they are affordable enough to be your first TWS we recon, but which one of the three you should choose?
The TrueDot is the most basic out of the three starting at Php1,390 with simple tips for in-ear experience and soft-touch buttons. Each ear tip is very light and has a 7.2mm driver for the audio experience.
Sound-wise, yes it’s wireless but just simple and basic. Don’t expect and punchy bass or roaring volumes when using the TrueDot. For us its a great commuting companion or even when at quiet environments to fully appreciate the sound quality.
Driver: Dynamic driver
Battery: 300mAh | Up to 4 hours battery per earpiece, up to 22.5 hours w/ case

Others: Microphone, Voice Control, Song Playback, Call Support, IPX4 water splash resistance
Weight: 15 g (case), 5.4 g (per earbud)
Price: PHP 1,390
Now the True Capsule is more of like an AirPods style with the capsule design for better grip, they are better in overall fit in our ear and the true capsule has slightly better audio perhaps due to the ear tips fits my ear canal better.
Plus, the True Capsule has a specialty in terms of calls due to their better microphone placement. So if you’re more into phone calls, we reco get the True Capsule so there won’t be annoying “I can’t hear you” moments in a call.
Driver: Dynamic driver
Battery: 45mAh per earpiece w/o case, 650mAh w/ case
Connectivity: Bluetooth 5.0
Others: Microphone, Voice Control, Song Playback, Call Support, IPX5 splash resistance
Weight: 15 g (case), 5.4 g (per earbud)
Price: PHP 1,690
The TRUEFREE+ is the most sturdy looking out of the three, with even a click button for pairing and pause/play of music. We preferably like this better than soft touch-sensitive buttons to avoid accidental presses.
The TrueFree+ has an 800mAh battery versus the small 300mAh battery of the TrueDots. Plus its also slightly more fashionable with grooves on the top and a slightly translucent case.
Audio quality wise, the TrueFree+ is the best among the three with sounds that are acceptable and not distorting to high volumes. It also has that bass punch you might look for, but nothing spectacular again.
Driver: Dynamic driver
Battery: 800mAh | Up to 4 hours battery per earpiece, up to 35 hours w/ case
Connectivity: Bluetooth 5.0
Others: Microphone, Voice Control, Song Playback, IPX4 water splash resistance
Weight: 3.4 g per earbud
Price: PHP 1,690
All cases are charged via MicroUSB which is the understandable cause of their prices, should you need or have a Type-C eco-system then you need to move to another brand perhaps.
Ultimately, the world of TWS is now becoming more competitive and Digital Walker just broke the 2k barrier down to Php1,390. We don’t expect you to be blown away by the audio quality of these TWS, but they are simply good enough for your first TWS is you are curious enough to have one. In our take, get the TrueFree+ for the longer battery capacity, and the claimed improved audio quality is felt.
We beg of you to experience at least this level of quality and not the knock off fake airpods at e-commerce sites. We say these really provide value for money already and hopefully Digital Walker can continue to provide more.
You can now visit Digital Walker stores as they are now re-open nationwide. Make sure to visit their Facebook and Lazada store so you can check for availability and avoid the hassle of going out unnecessarily.
