New 6v6 Mode

Siege X brings Dual Front**, a brand-new permanent 6v6 mode. Dual Front will mix both Attackers and Defenders for the first time to seize enemy sectors while defending their own. During matches, players can respawn and change their selected operator and take on time-limited Neutral Sector assignments. Siege X also brings significant upgrades and overhauls to graphics, gameplay, and audio, such as:

  • Five modernized 5v5 maps at launch with new lighting, shadows, and resolution upgrades: Clubhouse, Chalet, Border, Bank, and Kafe. Three new 5v5 maps will be modernized in each future season.
  • Deepened gameplay features like the all-new destructible ingredients, including gas pipes, metal detectors and fire extinguishers, which players can strategically interact with to outplay their opponents; and rappel navigation and momentum movement have been improved, providing more fluid controls that allow players to sprint horizontally along walls on rappel and maneuver around building corners.
  • An audio overhaul of propagation and reverberation in Rainbow Six Siege will now sound even more realistic, enabling players to gather critical intel through audio cues and pinpoint the location and type of rooms where enemy players are situated on the map.
  • A new onboarding experience designed to build skills and confidence.

Other changes bring quality of life improvements, a new Pick and Ban system, and R6 ShieldGuard, the game’s multifaceted approach to anti-cheat.

R6 Siege X Free Access & Editions

Starting today, through Free Access***, new players can play the base game with a selection of operators as well as Unranked, Quick Match, and Dual Front, for free. Ubisoft also announced that the second season of Rainbow Six Siege Year 10, Operation Daybreak, launched today with an operator remaster for Clash. Clash’s CCE Shield is now deployable, allowing her to strategically place it in a stationary position while operating its taser remotely. The season also introduces other gameplay and operator balancing changes: electricity will no longer damage operators, and limb damage will be reduced, making it more important than ever to aim for center mass or heads. Jackal, Sledge, Thunderbird, Jäger, and Blackbeard have all received balance updates. For the full list of Operation Daybreak content, please visit Ubisoft News.
