One of Total War Warhammer 3 legendary lords is Boris Ursus, a hulking Kislevite with exceptional combat abilities. Warhammer 3 Boris Ursus – How To Unlock
Unlocked By Finishing The Frozen Falls Quest
Playing as Katarina of Kislev, you must first finish the Frozen Falls quest in order to unlock Boris Ursus. I was able to unlock this quest at turn 86 by the third time the Chaos portals reopen. Make sure to have an army ready for Katarina as enemies here can be pretty challenging if you come in unprepared. You can teleport Katarina’s army as long as she is in her default movement state.
Kill 3 Tzeentch Sorcerers
Complete the mission by eliminating the 3 Tzeentch Sorcerers guarding Boris Ursus. Make sure to bring an ample amount of cavalry to get around the map as these targets are separated by cliffs and large open areas.
Prepare Cavalries & Streltsi
Cavalries can help you cover large distances and they are highly effective against the sorcerers. If you have a lot of cavalry, you can tie down some of the units and have one unit charge into a sorcerer. On the other hand, prepare a lot of Streltsi as there are flying units and monsters in the battlefield. Use some of your units as shields and position your gunline where the enemy is most vulnerable.
Beware Of Ambushes
Enemies are hidden across the map, be wary when advancing and keep watch for ambushes. Also, enemies spawn behind you starting point, so keep on the look out for these monsters as they can devastate your back line.
Recruit Or Make A New Faction
After rescuing Boris Ursus, you can decide to either make him a leader of a new faction or recruit him as a legendary lord. He also becomes available as a starting lord in the main menu. Personally, keeping him as you own legendary lord is better rather than having him as an allied faction. He offers a good number of unique skills and is an exceptional combatant. More so once Boris reaches a good level to unlock his skills.

- Construction cost: -50% for Garrison and Religion buildings
- Construction time: -1 for Province Capital/Settlement buildings
- Recruit Rank: +2 for War Bear Riderse units

- Upkeep: -50% for War Bear Rider units (Lord’s army)
- Leadership: +7 when fighting against Warriors of Chaos, Daemons of Chaos and Norsca (Lord’s army)
- Melee attack: +9 when fighting against Warriors of Chaos, Daemons of Chaos and Norsca (Lord’s army)
