Vivo NEX 3 arrives in the Philippines for PhP 39,999

-

The Vivo NEX series has always been more of a concept smartphone because of the innovations they are bringing to the mobile world. The latest of the series, the Vivo NEX 3, has now arrived in the Philippines.

The most noticeable feature of the Vivo NEX 3 is its screen. It comes with a 6.89-inch SuperAMOLED Waterfall display with a resolution of 2256 x 1080 and is capable of displaying HDR10 content. The curves at the side of the display is noticeable thus its moniker “Waterfall Display.”

There’s no notch present on the Vivo NEX 3 allowing it to reach a 99.6% screen-to-body ratio. This is thanks to the 16MP f/2.1 front-facing camera being moved to a motorized platform that rises at the top whenever the front camera is activated.

The frame of the Vivo NEX 3 is made of aluminum. In a bold move, Vivo has also removed the traditional buttons found on most smartphones nowadays. In lieu of them, Vivo has placed pressure-sensitive keys with haptic feedback to retain the curves of the smartphone while offering users tangible buttons to press.

The rear cameras of the Vivo NEX 3 comes in a circular arrangement. Instead of quad-cameras that’s getting more popular, the device only comes with three lenses: a 64MP f/1.8 main camera, a13MP f/2.5 telephoto, and a 13MP f/2.2 ultrawide. All three lenses come with PDAF allowing them to focus super sharp on their subjects.

Inside the Vivo NEX 3 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ with 12GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.0 storage. The device runs on Android 9.1 Pie with FunTouch 9.1. It gets its power from a 4,500mAh battery with 44W Fast Charging.
