Vivo is upgrading the NEX 3 to the Vivo NEX 3S 5G. Largely sharing the same specifications, Vivo’s new refresh now comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chip with 5G capabilities as well as an upgraded 512GB UFS 3.1 storage.
The Vivo NEX 3S 5G has a 6.89-inch SuperAMOLED Waterfall display with 2256 x 1080 resolution and supports HDR10+. There’s no punch-hole or notch to be found as the 16MP f/2.0 front-facing camera has been moved to a motorized platform that rises from the top when selfie mode is activated.
The 64MP f/1.8 Main, 13MP f/2.2 Ultrawide, and 13MP f/2.46 Telephoto cameras of the Vivo NEX 3S 5G is arranged in a circular setup at the back. Just below the cameras is the device’s LED Flash. There’s no rear-mounted fingerprint scanner here as it has been integrated on the screen.
An upgraded Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 now resides inside the smartphone with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. Thanks to the new chip, the smartphone is also able to take advantage of the 5G network.
