First unveiled in CES 2018, Vivo’s in-display fingerprint scanning technology is about to arrive in a mid-range smartphone in the form of the Vivo X21 this coming June 21, 2018.
The Vivo X21 will come with a 6.28-inch 19:9 AMOLED display at 2280 x 1080 with an integrated fingerprint scanner and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC with 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage.
Based on the teasers Vivo has sent out, the X21 will also integrate AI with its dual rear cameras composed of a 12MP f/1.8 primary shooter and a 5MP f/2.4 secondary camera as well as its 12MP f/2.0 front-facing camera.
We don’t have any local pricing yet for the Vivo X21. In the Chinese market, however, the Vivo X21 is on sale for CNY 2,898 (USD 450 or PhP 24,000) for the 64GB variant while the 128GB version can be bought for CNY 3,198 (USD 500 or PhP 27,000).
