vivo V27’s Aura Portrait Lighting impressed a lot of people, especially us here in Hungry Geeks. It showed that a smartphone can have the right balance in performance, camera and design. Amounting to Php24,999, this smartphone is impressive not only because of its unique solution to light, but also it’s processor of having a MediaTek 7200.
The V27 has a 6.78″ Full HD display with curved edges that is just right, but what’s impressive is at the back. With the Aura Green color that has a good finish at the back, having a very different approach compared to other smartphones. Despite being glossy, the finish is still fingerprint resistant.
With a 50MP Sony IMX766V camera as main, the sensor has a strong capability in sensing light along with proper detection in objects with its AI technology. Resulting to proper details and background separation.
In our experience of activating the aura light and portrait mode, it can separate proper subject to foreground identification. As a result, overall photos are more dramatic and artistic in result compared to most smartphones within its price range. Night photography is also strong with proper use of light exposure.
While selfies are still good with a 50MP detail, though overall its a tad bid softer to our liking since it doesn’t have the same effect of light with the rear aura portrait.
Processor
The Dimensity 7200 and 12GB RAM is strong in performance that can even handle strong game titles such as Genshin Impact with medium settings at 60fps. While multi-tasking is strong with more RAM along with its extended RAM feature. Overall processor of the Dimensity 7200 is unique to the V27, seems vivo has a strong partnership with Mediatek to create well balanced processors that is exclusive to the brand.
Lastly is the battery powered by a 4600mAh capacity and 66W dual-engine vivo flash charge. Resulting to a battery life that is light to carry, yet durable to enjoy an all-day battery life.
Overall the vivo V27 is very strong in its proposition for Php24,999, this price point is very competitive among everyone as this is a “sulit price point” for mid to upper economy earners. The V27 has 5G, Unique camera solution and performance that is very impressive to its price point.
