vivo V30e: Plenty to Like for Midrange

The vivo V30 series were introduced in the Philippines back in March and completing the lineup is the vivo V30e. It might be the most economic in the range at PhP 17,999, but vivo has managed to fit in quite the feature set including a Sony IMX882 main camera with Aura Light 3.0, a large battery, and updated specifications to make it a midrange smartphone that you might want.

Imaging has always been the strong suit of the V series and that remains unchanged on the V30e. This generation, the e model of the V30 lineup gets a 50MP f/1.79 main camera powered by the Sony IMX882, which allows it to get more light and capture photos with greater detail. You can even

The recognizable Aura Light 3.0 returns on the V30e that can light up your subjects with natural-looking light. Aside from having better lighting, they have improved the software for color temperature adjustment to intelligently adjust color temperature to warm or cool light depending on the conditions.

Its main camera is complemented by an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide camera so you can fit more into a single frame as well as a 32MP f/2.0 front-facing camera to take selfies with.

Battery to Last You the Whole Day

The vivo V30e one ups its competitors by sporting a larger-than-average 5,500mAh battery. Most midrange smartphones and even flagship ones only come 5,000mAh. This enables the V30e to have a longer battery life than most smartphones.

They claim that the battery can last up to 22 hours of YouTube streaming, and that’s in-line with our testing. Running the PCMark Work 3.0 battery test yields 21 hours and 52 minutes of usage with medium volume and brightness. When its battery does inevitably run out, you’ll have to wait just a little bit as a the V30e supports 44W Flash Charge.

If a long battery isn’t enough for you, the V30e’s chassis is also IP64 rated for dust and water resistance. This allows you to use the smartphone be it rain or shine without any worries about accidental splashes damaging it.

Plenty of Performance for Entertainment

vivo V30e Feature (3)

vivo has made plenty of internal changes on the V30e to make the best possible performance in the midrange class. Inside its shell is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip paired with 8GB LPDDR4X and 256GB of internal storage. You can even get an additional 8GB Extended RAM so you can run more apps and multitask like a pro.

The V30e also sports a 6.78-inch 2400 x 1080 120Hz AMOLED screen. Thanks to its AMOLED panel, you can experience deeper blacks and higher contrast on movies or content that you are watching. Games will also be able to take advantage of its faster refresh rate so everything runs and feels smoother.

Complementing its display is its speakers. It might only sport a single bottom-firing speaker, but has vivo implemented a 200% volume mode. This means that if you’re in a noisy space or just want to pump up your music, you can simply activate the mode by maxing out the volume – no need to mess with the system settings.
