The vivo V40 Pro has officially launched in India just barely 5 months after the V30 Pro 5G arrived in the Philippines. It still sports the iconic ZEISS style with quad 50MP shooters while upgrading the hardware with a new chipset and a larger battery.
The vivo V40 Pro comes with a total of four ZEISS-powered 50MP lenses. At the back is a 50MP f/1.88 Sony IMX921 OIS main camera, a 50MP f/1.85 Sony IMX816 OIS telephoto with 3x optical zoom and 50x digital zoom, and a 50MP f/2.0 ultrawide lens. For selfies, we get a 50MP f/2.0 front-facing camera on its 6.78-inch 2800 x 1260 120Hz AMOLED display.
Its imaging systems takes advantage of AI Aura Light Portrait to create AI-powered Studio Lighting with its LED Flash. Aside from improved portraits, its AI Suite also includes AI Erase to easily remove unwanted objects in the frame.
The V40 Pro still comes at a slim 7.4mm like its predecessor, but manages to fit in a larger 5,500mAh battery that supports 80W Flash Charge. They have also upgraded the chipset to the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ complemented by up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
It will run on FunTouch OS 14 based on Android 14. vivo promises a 50-month smooth experience.” Presumably this is a timeline of expected updates for the V40 Pro to lengthen its lifetime software support.

The vivo V40 Pro is priced starting at INR 54,999. When directly converted, it is priced at around PhP 38,000 which puts it PhP 3,000 more than the V30 Pro 5G. No word yet about its official launch in the Philippines.
