vivo V50 5G launches in PH, starts at PhP 27,999

The vivo V50 5G has finally landed in the Philippines. As the latest addition to the brand’s mainline V series, it comes with several upgrades from last generation, sleeker design, and ZEISS-powered cameras.

The V50 5G is a slight update that packs in a larger 6,000mAh battery that supports the faster 90W Flash Charge. The chassis also now comes with both IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance to make it more resilient against the environment.

Its triple cameras include a 50MP f/1.88 main, 50MP f/2.0 ultrawide, and 50MP f/2.0 selfie shooter. ZEISS have co-engineered the V50 5G’s camera system to deliver improved quality and several exclusive filters. Additionally, the rear cameras are complemented by AI 3D Studio Lighting 2.0 and AI Aura Light Portrait 2.0 for better portraiture.

Its 6.77-inch FullHD+ 120Hz AMOLED screen is quad-curved and is protected with Diamond Shield Glass Protection co-developed with Schott to improve drop resistance by 50% over previous designs and reduces compression and impact.

The V50 5G retains the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset from its predecessor, which makes sense as they are only 5 months apart. The chip is complemented by up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB UFS 2.2 storage.

It will run on Android 15 with FunTouch OS 15, and promises to have 3 Android Updates and 4 years of security patches.

The vivo V50 5G starts at PhP 27,999 in the Philippines. It is available in 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB for PhP 27,999 and PhP 30,999, respectively.
