The vivo X Fold will officially make its debut on the X Series’ 10th anniversary on April 11, 2022. It seems that the brand is upping the ante in the foldable era as they will be introducing several technologies on their smartphone.
The vivo X Fold will be equipped with a metal, leather back design with four cameras. Its imaging system was made out of the brand’s partnership with Zeiss in order to ensure high quality performance. The device will be employing OIS gimbal stabilization, optical and digital zoom among many others to let users experience a better photography system.
Its hinge is made out of an aerospace-grade floating wing hinge and is expected to have a central crease to provide sufficient space for the screen to bend. Its hinge is expected to be more durable able to fold more than 300,00 times. vivo is also adding a 3D ultrasonic dual-screen fingerprint scanner for improved user unlocking.
The foldable will come with an 8-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED screen with a high refresh rate. In addition, vivo is throwing in an undisclosed increase in RAM and internal storage as well as 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The device will also run on FunTouch OS 12 based on Android 12.
Official specifications and pricing will be announced by vivo when they launch the vivo X Fold on April 11, 2022.
