Vivo has confirmed that they will be bringing the X50 series and their latest TWS Earbuds into the Philippines on August 22, 2020. This could usher in the brand’s latest foray into 5G connectivity as well as expand their existing range of accessories.
Both the X50 and X50 Pro mostly share the same specifications with each other. The two have a 6.56-inch AMOLED display at 2376 x 1080 with support for HDR10+, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 32MP f/2.45 selfie camera peeking through.
The Vivo X50 Pro and X50 ship with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G with 5G capabilities. They are run on Android 10 with FunTouch 10.5. The Pro variant has a slightly higher 4,315mAh battery while the vanilla X50 only has a 4,200mAh battery although both do support the brand’s 33W Vivo FlashCharge 2.0.
The Vivo X50 comes with a quad camera setup at the back: a 48MP f/1.6 main camera, an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide, a 13MP f/2.46 portrait lens, and a 5MP f/2.48 super macro shooter. The X50 Pro, while having almost the same specifications, replaces the macro lens with an 8MP f/3.4 periscope telephoto and upgrades the primary 48MP f/1.6 main camera with a Gimbal IOS for a steadier video experience.

The Vivo TWS Neo will also be making its way to the Philippines this August. The latest TWS the brand comes with a Qualcomm QCC512 dual-core chip that allows support for aptX, AAC, and Bluetooth 5.0.
Vivo says that there is a 44% reduced latency on the TWS and up to 30% decrease in power consumption. Despite the lower power consumption, they can still pack a punch with their 14.2mm drivers.
The Vivo X50, X50 Pro, and TWS Neo are expected to make their way into the Philippine shores on August 22, 2020 at 6:00pm via a live stream on the brand’s official Facebook page. Price and availability should be made public once they are launched.
