vivo X80 Pro Review- Unique Flagship to reckon

The vivo X80 series both the vivo X80 and X80 Pro are the latest photography arsenal of the company. Focusing their partnership with Zeiss on the X series cemented the partnership even further with a strong offering that in our experience could compete with top-tier brands. Why? Here’s our review particularly for the vivo X80 Pro

Design

Simply exquisite for the vivo X80 Pro standing at 6.7″ tall with a slender body coated at the back with a very special anti-fingerprint glass coating. The coating is quite unique similar to the feeling of fine grit sandpaper without the scratching effect, it’s smooth and cool to the touch as it’s made of glass. Overall elegant, especially with the huge rectangle camera module at the back.

Performance

The vivo X80 Pro is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 with 12GB of RAM. Powerful enough for the 120Hz AMOLED E4 display’s demanding details for graphics, overall nothing to worry here as the only concern in performance we got is when the storage is already full and choking.

Camera Performance

The camera system of the vivo X80 Pro is composed of 4 camera with 3 having OIS, particularly the 50MP Main Sensor powered by a unique GNV sensor, 12MP telephoto lens and 8MP periscope lens. Producing powerful shots with strong stability, the only lens without stability is the 48MP Ultra-Wide sensor.

Day or night the vivo X80 Pro is super easy to use, powerful in taking photos with only minor pauses for long exposure mode in the camera software. This is thanks to the vivo V1+ dedicated sensor for processing photography. It’s able to take photos not only to detect proper light but also clean images to become flagship-class. Along with the Zeiss T*Coating on the glass, the least amount of flare in photos is achieved.

Here are two photos that are best to explain this technology

In other brands, this ould be really either dark and focusing on the light or blurry in action. Overall I’m amazed by the camera capabilities of the vivo X80 Pro, either in basic or professional mode the cameras will definitely deliver satisfaction.

Battery & Charging

X80 Pro has a capacity of 4700mAh giving a whole day experience with an 80W charger for just a full charge in less than an hour. We didn’t feel the need to get anxiety in battery except for using the X80 Pro in taking videos.

Honorable Mentions

The biggest in-fingerprint sensor of vivo is a huge testimony of the brand that they are the leader of in-display fingerprint. The sensor can deter super fast and can even cater to 2 prints at the same time for better data privacy. This fingerprint sensor is so accurate even if your hands are slightly wet, great when you’re using it on a dip in the pool.

Additionally, the X80 Pro is great in experience in gaming. The body is slender and nice with dual speakers that are audible. Just a slight mistouch experience due to the curved display which can trigger the palm for some mistouches, but this is only experienced when used bare. When using the provided case, the X80 Pro is great in fulfilling my Genshin Impact moments in high settings.

The vivo X80 Pro centers on photography with a refined experience for the smartphone brand. In our experience with the smartphone, this is the most refined experience vivo has done so far and it’s definitely at par with the top brands compared to their efforts before.

The vivo X80 Pro retails for Php59,999 while the X80 variant retails for Php45,999 giving you a good variety of choices for a photography-centric smartphone.
