Vivo has just released the world’s first smartphone with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The China-based smartphone manufacturer, however, is still pushing the boundaries of smartphone tech even further. Leaks have said that the Vivo Xplay 7 smartphone could have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, 10GB of RAM, and a 4K display.
The Vivo Xplay 7 is said to have a 4K edge-to-edge display with a screen-to-body ratio of 92.9%. It is also rumored to carry over the in-display fingerprint sensor co-developed by Vivo with Synaptics from the X20 Plus D.
Performance will also be bumped up with the Xplay 7 supposedly having a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 with 10GB of RAM. The leaks also point out that the smartphone will have a dual-camera setup that support 4x lossless zoom as well as 256GB and 512GB variants.
There’s no confirmation yet about any of these specifications. But it’s gearing up to be an exciting year for the smartphone industry.
