vivo has launched a new big battery champ in the Philippines, the vivo Y29. Priced well below the PhP 10,000 mark, it comes with a 6,500mAh battery in a slim 8.09mm chassis.
Its 6,500mAh BlueVolt battery promises up to 40 hours of video play back and nearly 11 hours of PUBG gaming. They are also ensuring longevity with its battery retaining 80% of its capacity after 5 years. Additionally, it will support 44W FlashCharge, which fills it from 1% to 100% in 92 minutes.
The smartphone packs a 6.68-inch 1608 x 720 120Hz display with SCHOTT Glass protection and the trusty Snapdragon 685 chip with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. Its chassis is rated for SGS Five-Star Drop Resistance as well as IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.
As for imaging, the device gets a 50MP f/1.8 main camera, a 2MP f/2.4 seconday, and an 8MP f/2.0 front-facing shooter. It will run on Android 15 with vivo’s FunTouch OS 15 on top.
The vivo Y29 is priced starting at PhP 8,999 in the Philippines. It is available in Espresso Brown and Marble White colorways. The brand is offering it in two storage variants: 8GB/128GB for PhP 8,999 and 8GB/256GB for PhP 10,999.
