After months of waiting, we finally get to see the Immortal Empires Map in the flesh. Can’t wait for the mode’s release on the 23rd of August.
Finally, after months of waiting, we finally see the map in its full glory. With 554 settlments, 278 starting factions, and a grand total of 86 Legendary Lords, Warhammer 3’s Immortal Empires map sounds like the dream that we’ve always imagined. Note that the numbers mentioned above may change as the game mode is set to launch initially as a beta. Creative Assembly may take time to tweak it to a better experience in the future. For now, let’s just enjoy the map in its entirety and wait for the mode’s release.
Sea Lanes are means for factions to make use of the seas to meet and battle with far-flung factions. Think of it as the sea routes in Empire: Total War. When a faction goes to a certain point in the sea, they disappear for some time and reappear at a certain points in the map. This allows factions that are too far apart to either trade or make war with each other without having to deal with making a trip to the far side of the map.
Look at the lower right land masses and you’ll notice two land masses bereft of territories (Khuresh and Ind). Although these are present in the game world, the developers are currently planning on building up existing factions for now. We may find these spots populated down the line as more factions get released as DLC.
Finally, after months of waiting, Warhammer 3 Immortal Empires has now been revealed. With the game mode including all of the factions and regions of 3 games, things are going to be in epic scale. However, this grand campaign will be available as a beta at first. Players can join the beta starting on Q3 2022.
The game is now out and we have yet to hear about the release of Warhammer 3’s mortal empire. We may be able to hear something official about it in the coming months. Just be patient and play the vanilla game for now.

The campaign map for Total War: Warhammer 3 has just been revealed. It is worth noting that a less detailed version of this map may be integrated to Mortal Empires as seen with Total War: Warhammer 2. See the new campaign map in its full glory with the official trailer below:
Total War: Warhammer 3 has been announced and we are getting trickles of info every week. But probably one of the biggest questions is: will it have Mortal Empires? The answer to that is an obvious yes. Like with Total War: Warhammer 2, the newest one will probably get Mortal Empires as a free DLC after a few weeks or months from release.
This article will be updated once any official info from either Creative Assembly or Sega is released.
For those not in the know, Mortal Empires is a grand campaign in Total War: Warhammer. Assuming that it will be the same as with the previous release, Mortal Empires in Total War: Warhammer 3 will encompass all of the campaign maps from the 1st Warhammer to the 3rd one. This includes all terrain features, factions, and events. This will very likely result in one of the biggest, if not the biggest, campaign map in Total War history. With the addition of Chaos demons and a more fleshed out Kislev faction, we can expect more utter “chaos” in the coming Mortal Empires campaign.
Note that Mortal Empires in Warhammer 2 is not a 1:1 copy of the 1st and 2nd campaign maps. Balancing was also applied, so some regions and some factions were either combined or completely removed. Also, any DLC you purchased for the 2 games will apply to Mortal Empires, giving you access to more factions.
One very important thing is: you need to have the first two games to play Mortal Empires. Buy them when they go on sale as you need both to play the Mortal Empires. Steam’s December sale is just around the corner so take advantage of that!
As of the writing of this article, a definite release date for Total War: Warhammer 3 is yet to be announced. However, you don’t need to wait for long as Total War: Warhammer 3 will be released on February 17, 2022.
You can check and pre-order out Total War: Warhammer 3 on Steam here and on Epic Games Store here. Both are priced at PhP 2,215.
