It’s that time of the year again and we have finally seen what Games Workshop wants us to spend our hard-earned cash this coming Christmas. The Warhammer 40,000 Battleforce Boxes have been officially announced and we get a month or two to pick and reserve what we want. Get to know the Warhammer 40K 2024 Battleforce Boxes, contents, price, and more using this handy guide.
As usual, there are five Battleforce boxes to be released this coming holidays. As there are only five boxes that would be available, not all factions will get their release.
You can answer with multiple choices if you’re planning on getting more than one type of Battleforce box set.
Although it contains only five minis, these are IMPERIAL KNIGHTS, meaning that the price of buying each one without discounts can make any wallet cry. The box also includes four Armigers which you can either build as ranged Helverins or as melee Warglaives. Personally, this is a box I would be getting to fatten up my Imperial Knight collection and also have those rare Armigers.
Starting a Dark Angels army? This might be your sign to do so. This battleforce box set contains the essentials of a modern Dark Angels army. You have the Primarch himself, loads of Terminators, and Dark Angels Inner Circle Companions. However, if you do already have a huge chunk of the models inside this box, consider selling some of if you need more than 50% of the contents.
This one’s for the Tau players that have yet to buff their mechs. This box contains hard-hitting Battlesuits that you can use in most cases. An additional Tau Empire Commander won’t hurt as you can choose to configure it as a Coldstar or Enforcer. Furthermore, you can nab the recently released Kroot box or the Combat Patrol to complement this box with Tau infantry.
Want more Necron Warriors? Get this box. Kidding aside, this box seems to join both common Necrons with hard-hitting ones. The Necron Overlord is a good alternative to the HQs that come with the Necron Combat Patrols and 9th edition box sets. In addition, the pricey but intimidating Void Dragon can be had in this box, which by itself, strengthens the value of the box set if you’re after this devastating centerpiece.
A pretty solid choice for the Adepta Sororitas, this battleforce box set includes models which are usually not part of the common collection. You have Arco-flaggelants and Sisters Repentia to complement the melee capabilities of your army while you also get Rhinos and Penitent Engines in the mix. For good measure, a Ministorum Priest is also included in the package.
Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar Battleforce Boxes are a boon to any collector or player for one sole reason: huge discounts. Buying these boxes net you significant discounts, sometimes even halving the cost of the contents combined! They are also very limited in quantity and in are only released within a specific time frame. So if your faction is featured, best get them or reserve them as soon as you can. They can be pricey, sure, but then again, they do offer significant discounts in their contents.
Battleforce boxes are usually announced and released in the last quarter of the year. In this case, expect the boxes to arrive this November or December 2024. Locally, this may take some time and some boxes may reach the Philippines (based on past experiences) next year January or February. Either way, it is highly recommended that you reserve a copy with your favorite hobby store as these boxes, especially the good ones, tend to disappear from shelves after a few days.
It’s to no one’s surprise that Battleforce boxes are becoming more expensive every year. But despite that, they still do offer a substantial amount of discount as opposed to buying each model separately. With that, we expect the price to be pegged similarly to last year’s and this year’s battleforce boxes which is US$230. Locally, the prices here in the Philippines would be about PhP 11,000.
