Chaos Gate Extract Seed – How To Get
How To Get Seeds
- Extract them from enemy hosts using a Servo Skull
- Land a critical hit and damage the enemy part with Seeds
- Purify Bloomspawns in the battlefield to extract seed
Extract Seeds From Enemies Using A Servo Skull
Probably the most reliable way of extracting seeds. Using a specialized Servo Skull allows a Grey Knight to safely get a seed from an enemy unit. However, note that this only works at a certain distance and only with organic enemies. The Servo Skull cannot extract from larger enemies and targets must be within 15 tiles away from the user.
In order to get the Extractor Servo Skull, you must first research “Advanced Seed Access”. Afterwards, you can equip the Servo Skull in the loadout menu. It is recommended that you equip it onto your supports like Apothecaries and Purgators as they have abilities that buffs Servo Skulls.
Land A Critical Hit & Damage Enemy Parts
Another way to reliably get seeds is to land a critical and target the enemy part with the seed. Use characters with high Crit abilities or passives to use this method. Also, this is the only way to get them from larger enemies like Helbrutes and Foetid Bloat Drones.
Purify Bloomspawns
Interacting with Bloomspawns is an easy way to get seeds as you only need to travel to their adjacent tiles to get them. Bloomspawn extracted seeds also benefit from seed technologies that increase yield.
Chaos Gate Extract Seed – How To Farm
Research Technologies To Increase Yield
You can research technologies that increase the number of seeds whenever you extract them. If you find yourself struggling to get more seeds, prioritize getting these technologies out first.
Technologies That Increase Seeds
- Advanced Seed Access – Seed +1, Extractor Servo-Skull
- Advanced Seed Extraction – Seed +1
Do Seed Carrier Missions
Seed Carriers missions are exactly the missions that you need if you want to farm seeds. The main purpose is to eliminate enemy units with seeds. You can also hunt down patrols that loiter around the map for more seeds. One important thing to remember is that in Seed Carrier missions, you must defend and survive for the last 3 turns before you can get extracted.
Generally, seed carrier missions are fairly easy and can be used to train low level Grey Knights.
Attack Enemy Patrols
Enemy patrols are very likely to have one enemy unit that has seeds. Patrols spawn in most missions. If you feel confident about your team’s and your abilities as a commander, then hunt down patrols in the map to get more seeds!
Chaos Gate Extract Seed – How To Use
Progress The Story
Extracting seeds is a requirement in order to advance the mission. Some story-events can only be triggered by researching the technology required. During these times, you can delay the research and take time to farm equipment and Grey Knights instead.
Use To Research New Technology & Stratagems
Seeds are required to research new technology and stratagems. Both categories have different requirements so be on the look-out for those that you want to research first and prioritize getting the seeds for them.
Upgrade Weapons
Seeds can be used to create Purity Seals that upgrade your weapons and armor. You can also research technologies to lessen the number of required seeds to upgrade. This is where you will likely spend a lot of your seeds as upgrades can greatly increase your Grey Knights’ capabilities in the battlefield. One thing important to remember is that certain events that involve Ectar can either increase or decrease the number of seeds required to upgrade.
