AI is becoming a staple of our day-to-day lives. From Amazon Echo, Google Home, Apple HomePod, and smartphones, AIs, it seems, are going to be a thing of the future.
The Huawei Mate 10 Pro is one of the first batch of smartphones in the market to sport some kind of AI interactivity. Powered by the company’s Kirin 970 SoC, Huawei’s AI can detect sceneries, text and even placement for a more adaptive photography experience. It can also automatically scan business cards, documents, QR codes, or even help you translate speech and text from another language.

Huawei, however, is pushing the boundaries of its AI further. In a YouTube video, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro was adapted for use for a car. Its AI was made compatible with a car with object recognition and allow the smartphone to control the car and avoid obstacles in its way. Check out Huawei’s video to see how the Mate 10 Pro made a car avoid running over an adorable doggo.
Huawei will be presenting further information about their new AI capabilities in MWC 2018. Watch out for our coverage of MWC 2018 in the following days.
