Warhammer 40K and Age of Sigmar’s Daemon Prince is getting an update. After years of waiting, the plastic kit is getting its makeover from head (or wings) to toe. Revealed during the first day of Warhammer Fest 2022, this new Daemon Prince is set to destroy foes and wreak havoc in the battlefield in the name of the Chaos gods (or one of the four).
Update: The Daemon Prince standalone kit is now coming out. It currently has a price of US$80.00 / £47.50. You can check it out on GW’s store here.

Similar to other new models, the new Daemon Prince looks like its going to be released first as part of the new Slaves to Darkness Launch Set. This new box is going up for pre-orders this coming weekend, 5th to 6th of November.
The new Slaves to Darkness Launch box set is set to be released for early 2023. It is very likely that the new Daemon Prince will be released as a standalone model but it may come a few months or quarters after the box set. If you want to be one of the first to field it, then best get the new Slaves to Darkness to get it.
Definitely a huge upgrade from the current Daemon Prince. The new model also looks like a good painting project even if you don’t play tabletop. It’s definitely brimming with details and seems to be far more customizable than the old one. Here’s hoping that the price for the update will not be too expensive (current one retails at $50).
The 2016 Daemon Prince includes a meager amount of heads to use making it hard to customize and personalize it. Now, we get a glimpse of multiple heads for the Daemon Prince allowing players to field it with armies of the four Chaos gods. You also get additional heads for Chaos Undivided!
It has also been stated that the Daemon Prince’s kit will be usable for both Age of Sigmar and Warhammer 40,000. The power pack and the barrel on its arm may be removed and replaced depending on the setting that you want to play it in. In an image revealed weeks before, the Daemon Prince was shown with its power pack removed. Instead, we see its pack replaced with wings for a more hellish look.
No stats were revealed during Warhammer Fest 2022. What we did get is a confirmation that it might take a while before we get its stats. We’ll just have to wait and see if this new monster’s stats is going to be as impressive as its looks.
