The new Warhammer 40,000 Combat Patrol for Iron Hands is almost out and on shelves. With the number of models in it, some players may find it a good box to start your Iron Hands army. Or is it? In this article, we compile the savings, discounts, and other details that you need to know before you purchase this combat patrol.
Update: Price comparison has been updated to reflect the increase introduced this October 2025.
Models | Combat Patrol Model Count |
---|---|
Heavy Intercessors | 10 |
Firestrike Servo-turret | 2 |
Primaris Techmarine | 1 |
Total of 13 Models in the Iron Hands Combat Patrol. Two Firestrike Servo-turrets are also included. This combat patrol is pretty low in terms of model count but may be useful enough to be used in other armies as well. The models inside can be used for other Space Marine Chapters and if you still don’t have them as part of your collection, this is probably the best box to get the turrets and two squads of Heavy Intercessors.
The box is led by a Primaris Techmarine.
The table below calculates each of the box contents and compares to how much you can save by buying the Combat Patrol. Compared to buying each model separately, you get to save 32.41% ($251.50 vs. $170) if you buy the Iron Hands Combat Patrol in the US or 35.19% (£162.00 vs. £105.00) if you buy it in the UK.
Units | Price Per Box ($) | Price Per Box (£) | Models Per Box | Models in Combat Patrol Box |
---|---|---|---|---|
Heavy Intercessors | $65.00 | £42.50 | 5 | 10 |
Techmarine | $43.50 | £27.00 | 1 | 1 |
Firestrike Servo-turret | $39.00 | £25.00 | 1 | 2 |

Combat Patrols are what we can call “discount” boxes in the hobby. They contain a good amount of models that would cost more if you buy each one of them separately. Combat Patrols are also a good way to enter the hobby as it gives you the minimum amount of units to play the smallest game in Warhammer 40,000. For painters and collectors, these boxes are also godsend given that they contain a good variety of things to paint and collect.
