Warhammer 40,000’s Astra Militarum continues to grow in strength. Finally, after months of teasing, speculation, and clue hunting, we finally get to see the new battle tank in WH40K, The Rogal Dorn. Just announced via the official website, this new tank seems to be the bridge between the Baneblade and the humble Leman Russ tank. Get to know details about this tank’s release date, price, and more here.
There’s no denying it. The new Rogal Dorn Battle Tank is a beauty. It’s been years since we’ve had a new Astra Militarum, erm Imperial Guard tank and the details are undeniably impressive if you compare it to the Leman Russ battle tank.
For weapons, the Rogal Dorn can use TWO battle cannons and you can change it to a single oppressor cannon. If the Leman Russ is already effective with just one battle cannon, imagine a tank carrying two. Not only that but it also looks like you can equip it with side turrets, a pintle mount gun, and three guns on the front of its hull. It’s definitely an incredible investment in terms of firepower but it’s also a bit too hot in the eyes for your foes as it’s a very tempting target.
There is still no concrete date as to when the Rogal Dorn will release. However, we can say that it will come weeks or even just right after the new Cadia Stands box set releases. We can only hope that we can have this new fancy toy with us this December.
Man, December’s going to be a wallet apocalypse given that Battleforce boxes are also coming. If you’re into Kill Team too, you might want to save a few more as the newest box set features Cadian Kasrkins in them. Better yet, you may also be tempted to bring cavalry into a tank fight. You can also add the new Lord Solar into the bunch.
The Rogal Dorn Battle Tank is now available for pre-order and it currently has a price tag of US$90 / £55.
