According to Microsoft’s official blog, Windows 10 is launching this coming summer in which 190 countries are included with 111 available languages.
The company did not exactly released a date, but at least we have something to hold on to this summer. The new OS will be available for free if you are a Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 user.
They also confirmed that their partners (like Lenovo) will offer some upgrade services in their corresponding service centers for users to acquire the Windows 10. Also, a number of owners of the Xiaomi Mi 4 will be able to download Windows 10 in their phone to become the few beta testers of the technical preview expected also to be released this year.
We can now expect that Xiaomi will also have Windows-powered phone to be released alongside their Android devices. We are also hoping that their future phones can dual-boot between these two operating systems.
Microsoft also announced today that users will also be able to login using their biometrics (iris scan) and that the Internet Explorer will not be a part of the upcoming OS.
