World of Warships Azur Lane Wave 6 Collaboration

Azur Lane returns for Wave 6, bringing new Commanders, ships, skins, and more to World of Warships! The latest instalment of the collaboration with the hit mobile game is set to introduce five new Commanders: Queen Elizabeth, Fuso, Shimakaze, Hornet, and Agir, along with three new premium ships for players to battle with across the high seas. Setting sail from 15 May 2024, players can get hands on with these Commanders and ships, alongside a special Crate, plenty of new flags and camouflages.

Three new Operations arrive to commemorate D-Day

To mark the 80th anniversary of this historic storming of Normandy, three new Operations are sailing into the game. Lasting two weeks each, this new event battle type allows up to six players to compete in a division using Tier V-VII ships. Rewarding those who complete missions in addition to these Operations, players will receive Stars, which can be used to unlock special progression tracks containing rewards including historical Commanders, camouflages, and patches.

The first of these Operations kicks off on 29 May, and tasks players to command an Allied vanguard on its approach to Utah Beach. Enemy forces defend the location, and it’s up to players to suppress the coastal defence and safely dock the beach.

Commonwealth Cruisers come to the Tech Tree

World of Warships’s May update also sees the Commonwealth cruisers leave Early Access and enter the Tech Tree for all players to enjoy. These ships start from Tier III and sport impressive 152mm and 203mm guns that deal good damage per minute. Alongside these ships comes another new vessel, with Soviet hybrid ship Komissar available for all players in the Armory. This heavy cruiser comes equipped with 12 240mm guns that pack a powerful punch, along with torpedoes for longer-ranged attacks.

Closing off this World of Warships update is the start of Clan Battles Season 25: Polar Bear and Season 17 of Ranked Battles on May 15th, along with three new Brawls available, the first of which starts on 20 May.
