Like other classes, in order for you to remove the limit and allow the Full Metal Jaguar class to reach 20, you must first have a character with rank 10. Make sure to have at least one character with rank 10 to get the info required for Gray’s Ascension Quest to spawn.
Reach Chapter 6
Chapter 6 is where you can find Gray’s Ascension Quest. You can also choose to immediately do this side quest or delay it for later.
Get “Gray’s Autonomy” Info For “Lovebirds” Quest
To get the necessary side quest to unlock Gray’s Ascension Quest, go to the City and proceed to the south side. There, you’ll find two citizens talking about Gray. Listen until you get the “Gray’s Autonomy” info and then go to the nearby camp to discuss it. After discussing it, you’ll finally get the “Lovebirds” side quest.

“Lovebirds” is the final piece to unlock Gray’s Ascension Quest. This side quest involves walking around the City and then gathering an odd number of materials from outside. - Travel to Great Sword Passage and go to the Hidden Room
- Defeat Evolved Sentry to clear the quest
Defeat The Lost Number Soldiers
The first part of this quest tasks you to go to Daedal Isle in Erythia Sea. Go to the designated spot to initiate a fight against several Lost Number Soldiers. Prioritize the softer targets then proceed to clean up the remaining Protectors to quickly clear this fight. After the fight, return to the city for the next steps.
Defeat The Evolved Sentry
The boss for Gray’s Ascension Quest is the Evolved Sentry. As it is only a single enemy, pile up and use Arts to whittle down its health. Capitalize on your party’s Chain Attack once it gets filled to deal more damage.
