XBC3 Monica Ascension Quest – How To Unlock
Unlocks In Chapter 7
Monica’s Ascension quest, “Promise to the Future” is unlocked in Chapter 7. To unlock the quest, one of your party members must have the Lost Vanguard Class at Rank 10.
Go To The City With Monica
You can immediately take this side quest once you enter the City during the start of Chapter 7. Just have Monica in your party and head towards the question mark in front of the Memorial Hall of the City.

- Reach Chapter 7
- Head to the City with Monica
- Go to the Michiba Canteen
- Talk to Garrett
- Head to Corne Island’s Antol Pit
- Defeat the Territorial Antols to complete the quest
XBC3 Trigger Monica’s Ascension Quest
To get Monica’s Ascension Quest, head to the City and have Monica in your party. As mentioned above, you must first have a single character in your party with the Lost Vanguard class rank at 10 to get the quest. Quick travel inside the Memorial Hall and head outside to trigger a cutscene that begins the quest.
Wander The City
The first part is pretty easy as it just requires you to move around the City. Your first destination is the Michiba Canteen. After the cutscene, head towards Garrett and talk to him to proceed to the next part of Monica’s Ascension Quest.
Defeat The Territorial Antols
The last part requires a bit of legwork as you need to head to Corne Island in Cadensia Region. Head towards the center, down to the Antol Pit and use the vines for a gentle descent. After reaching the bottom, run to the fight and defeat the Antols to end the “Promise to the Future” Ascension Quest.
