In Xenoblade Chronicles 3 (XBC3), you get to raise Affinity levels for colonies that you encounter throughout your journey. Affinity is like your relationship level with colonies. The higher it is, the more bonus passive stats that you get. Get to know how to raise affinity fast using this guide.
The greatest contributor in raising Affinity is by doing missions for that colony or area. Missions give a large boost to the locale’s Affinity. These missions can either be connected to the game’s main story or side missions that are completely optional.
The Collectopaedia is a good source of getting more Affinity. Requests here often require materials that you encounter as you venture across the world of Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Fulfill these requests and you get a substantial boost to your Affinity with the colony.
The first request usually comes with a hefty Affinity coupled with a good accessory. After fulfilling the initial request, you can continue providing the items for an endless supply of Affinity and experience. Collectopaedia Requests can be a good source of Affinity if you need a couple more to inch yourself to the next Affinity Level Reward.
You can also raise Affinity by a small amount by buying from the colony or camp’s shop. Although minimal, this helps in raising affinity for factions like the Nopon Caravans.
Husks are corpses of either Agnus or Keves soldiers left in the field. Interact with them and send them off for a couple of Affinity points for the nearest colony. The more husks, the more points you get.
While exploring the world, you might encounter two rival factions battling it out in the field. You can extend your help to one side of this fight to get Affinity Points.
Talking to the loitering denizens of a colony or city also raises your Affinity by a bit. If it’s your first time, wander around and talk to anyone with a speech bubble with a star. Note that after your initial talk, you won’t get any affinity even if they have something new to say. Don’t rely on this too much as conversing only gives you a measly 10 Affinity points per person.
Affinity Levels are like your relationships with the colonies. The higher they are, the more passive bonuses that you get. These passive bonuses, while not essential to the game’s story, does prove to be incredibly helpful as you journey forward. Bonuses include faster movement speed, farther item collection range, and increased meal duration.
