The Xiaomi 13 Ultra has arrived and it’s aiming for the top of the smartphone photography. Partnering once again with Leica, the Ultra will come with 4 50MP Leica Lenses at the back with its main camera being powered by a Sony IMX989 Sensor with a variable aperture for f/1.9 – f/4.0.
Complementing the main camera is a 50MP f/3.0 persicope telephoto with 5x optical zoom, 50MP f/1.8 telephoto with 3.2x optical zoom and a 50MP f/1.8 ultrawide. All three will come with Dual-Pixel PDAF. They also use an IMX858 sensor for better image clarity.
Xiaomi has done quite a bit on the software side to take advantage of the 13 Ultra’s new hardware. The smartphone will support 14-bit RAW and 10-bit LOG video for better editing of photos and videos, respectively.
The rest of the smartphone remains impressive like its cameras. It is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, its display is a 6.73-inch curved 3200 x 1440 120Hz LTPO3 AMOLED with Gorilla Glass Victus, and its 5,000mAh battery will support 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Its chassis is rated at IP68 dust and water resistance and all of its variants will sport a leather finish.
